The clippers have a high-speed rotary motor for a smoother cut; however, for the extent of its power, the motor is fairly quiet and lightweight. The clipper blades are permanently aligned so you never need to adjust them, and are detachable for thorough cleaning. The clippers come with two adjustable guide combs that offer a total of 14 different hair lengths ranging from 1/8 to 1-3/4 inches. A sliding thumb-operated switch on the clippers lets you easily adjust the combs to the proper height.
